Booklet of Increasing Regional Investment Climate in Indonesia

Indonesian and international investors are eager to invest in Indonesia and the approval of the investment itself shows a very high growth. Government institutions in Indonesia, which intends to attract investments, may wish to undertake reforms and improvements of the service to the public.

It is important to underline that the company in general, is no exception whether they are from Indonesia and abroad, has many locations to choose from in order to establish their business. Especially with large scale enterprise can choose the different regions and in many cases, choose berebeda countries when they decide to invest.

The investment made by the company brings many benefits to the local economy. Not only in terms of local employment and taxation, but the development of local suppliers, innovation and in many cases provide support to local communities.

Almost every country in the world can be used as evidence that the government knows how to attract investment and, equally important, to know how to maintain investment in the region, will see their economies to increase their population and prosper. Countries and regions are governed by bureaucracy, corruption and government officials who do not care will always remain.

Limiting regulation to a minimum to maintain social structures and fragile environment is essential. However, it is more important to clarify the rules so that it can be used in an efficient manner. Government officials can communicate efficiently with investors, and can make the procedure a minimum, guaranteed to be successful in attracting investment, even without an abundance of natural resources. Companies looking for a stable business environment and transparent and will open up employment opportunities to the regions that can offer that.

In the last two years, with the support of the Embassy of the Netherlands, INA has been doing work in the District and three in Indonesia in improving service to investors. It can be learned contained in the contents of the book, which hopefully can be an inspiration for other regions to improve their services to investors, to their mutual advantage to the people of Indonesia and investors.
